I founded Craig Legal Research and Writing in 2024 to combine my interest in criminal law with my research and writing expertise. My goal is to assist criminal defense attorneys who are unable to dedicate the time they'd like to legal research and writing, or who don't have the budget to hire a full-time associate for these types of projects. I am here to provide top-notch legal research, analysis, and writing services that will help you achieve positive results for your clients.
Before I started Craig Legal Research & Writing, I spent over fifteen years honing my legal research, analysis, and writing skills. I started my career working as a Legal Editor for Jones McClure Publishing (now O'Connor's Law Books), and about a year later, I accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney in the Appellate Division of the Harris County District Attorney's Office. During my time at the DA's Office, I reviewed everything from simple misdemeanor cases to complex felonies, I authored over one hundred appellate briefs, and I argued in front of the Texas Court of Appeals.
I left the DA's Office to focus on raising my family, and I initially worked part-time for a small civil law firm before I turned my focus back to criminal law. For over ten years, I worked as a contract attorney providing legal research, analysis, and writing services to criminal defense attorneys in Houston. In early 2023, I had the opportunity to join a national research and writing group as a Research Attorney, where I worked on both civil and criminal cases.
Throughout my career, I have consistently been drawn back to the practice of criminal law, and in 2024, I realized I wanted to focus my efforts solely on criminal defense work. Through Craig Legal Research & Writing, I look forward to providing busy criminal defense attorneys with professional legal research, analysis, and writing assistance.
